Data Middleware Platform

What is Dataset Sharing Middleware?

Dataset sharing middleware is a software layer that connects different systems, enabling seamless data exchange across various formats, protocols, and models.

Acting as a bridge between data providers and consumers, it ensures secure, efficient access to datasets without the complexity of direct integrations. By unifying data from multiple sources, businesses can enhance collaboration, streamline workflows, and make data-driven decisions with real-time, reliable information.

With Data Islands, your data stays exactly where you choose—we have servers in the USA, Canada, Europe, and the UK. Our databases and APIs are geographically coded, giving you full control over data storage (DigitalOcean) and flow (AWS Gateway API). If you’re in the USA, for example, your data remains within that region unless you decide otherwise.

Unlike traditional systems, Data Islands requires no open ports or network access. You define exactly what data to export (e.g., via SQL), ensuring that no external connections pull data from your system. This eliminates security risks and the need to trust third parties with direct access.

Simply install our console app in a secure location with data access, and it will push (export) data to the Data Islands Middleware Platform.

With simple commands, the process can be easily scripted and automated to run at scheduled intervals.

ETL projects can be complex, requiring manual table mapping between databases. With Data Islands, data moves seamlessly—automatically creating the destination table or file. Simply extract from MSSQL and import into MySQL, Postgres, SQLite, CSV, and more with a single command.

Supported Connectors:
.SQL, Postgres, CSV, Xero, ODBC, and more.
