Sage Summit USA
We had a great trip to Altanta, Georgia this year for Sage Summit. The big thing for us was seeing #SageCRM front and centre on the main stage.
It is pushed as the CRM core to the ERP suites of 300, 100 (NA) as well as 200 (UK) and this indicates a renewed investment from Sage in its development.
There were also a number of breakout sessions covering aspects of the system. One of which I did manage to attend was presented by Tom Nolan (@SageCRMTomNolan) and this included the current roadmap.
Some other interesting aspects where that you can upgrade direct to 2017 R2 from 7.2 and 7.3 without any intermediate updates.
Another thing of interest is retired support .
The windows mobile app had very limited uptake so that is why that is retired. The big thing here is the end of support for 7.2 and I thinkĀ with being able to upgrade direct from that to 2017 R2 you really have no excuse to make that move.
We had a booth this year and great attendance from the Sage channel (existing and new partners for us).
One thing we have been pushing is using out products (specifically our outlook integration – Accelerator) to win and close CRM deals that deliver. The emphasis being that it ensures that the business owns the customer data and not the individual. Its also easy to present the idea of CRM as your starting point is Outlook. We have a number of options for resellers so please get in touch for more details.
For a laugh here is Majella enjoying some popcorn during the pretty impressive show floor entertainment
